Iran security chief Rezaei announces new prohibited zone outside Strait of Hormuz and sanctions on ships entering restricted area
Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary Mohsen Rezaei announced that Tehran will declare a new prohibited zone outside the Strait of Hormuz in the coming days, with any ship entering the restricted zone with intent to pass through to be added to a sanctions list. Rezaei stated the strait is fully closed, called Trump's claims about opening it 'pure lies', and said ships passing through Hormuz will not pass safely.
