Israel approves $330M for 12 Apache helicopters in $1.15B defense package

Israel's government approved nearly NIS 1 billion (over $300 million) in an emergency telephone vote to fund the Defense Ministry's urgent purchase of 12 Apache helicopters, part of about $1.15 billion in urgent defense purchases. Nearly all the Apache money will come from a five-year plan to develop Israel's Arab communities.
