Italy approves €28bn budget deviation for 2027 energy and defence spending, Giorgetti says

Italy's government approved a €28 billion budget deviation (scostamento di bilancio) for 2027 to fund energy and defence measures, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said, describing the budget as more prudent, with the deficit at 3.5% and a further €14 billion of flexibility in 2028.
