Japan's defense ministry to deploy long-range 25-type surface-to-ship missiles in October Japan-US joint exercise

Japan's Ministry of Defense plans to deploy the Ground Self-Defense Force's 25-type surface-to-ship guided missile — a standoff weapon also usable for counterstrike missions, deployed to Kumamoto in March — in the October Japan-US joint exercise. Whether it will actually be fired in the drill has not been announced.
