Kenya to ban exports of unprocessed minerals and build three gold refineries

Kenya announced it will ban exports of unprocessed minerals and plans to build at least three refineries to purify gold, with President Ruto stating exports of unprocessed gold will stop. The Central Bank of Kenya would get priority to purchase locally mined and processed gold as part of building national FX reserves.
