KOSPI rebounds above 6,900, up over 1%, after briefly falling below 6,800

South Korea's KOSPI reversed early losses and rose more than 1% to reclaim the 6,900 level, after briefly falling below 6,800 intraday in the session following the Chuseok holiday. The rebound came despite US interest-rate concerns that had weighed on semiconductor shares, with the KOSDAQ up about 3%.
