Lagarde urged Greek PM Mitsotakis to block Binance's EU licence bid via Greece; Binance later withdrew, WSJ reports

The Wall Street Journal reports that ECB President Christine Lagarde personally intervened to stop Binance's MiCA licence application via Greece, urging Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis not to proceed as Greek regulators were reportedly preparing to approve it. Binance, which had believed the application complete with a "major milestone" press release ready, later withdrew it. Binance CEO Richard Teng is named in the report.
