MediciNova reports Phase 2 MN-001 trial missed statistical significance in hypertriglyceridemia with NAFLD and type 2 diabetes

MediciNova announced topline results from its Phase 2 MN-001-NATG-202 trial of MN-001 (Tipelukast) in hypertriglyceridemia and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease associated with type 2 diabetes. At week 24 the MN-001 group showed a numerical reduction from baseline, but the difference versus placebo was not statistically significant.
