Mexican peso slides past 18 per dollar for the first time since March

The Mexican peso weakened past 18 per dollar for the first time since March, extending losses after three consecutive sessions of declines that had pushed the dollar to 18.18 pesos and unwound the currency's "superpeso" strength. The dollar had traded at 17.68 pesos earlier.
