MI5 chief warns AI is supercharging UK security threats, including potential killer bioweapons

MI5 head Sir Ken McCallum warned that artificial intelligence is "supercharging" security threats to the UK, including potential development by terrorists and states of new killer bioweapons and AI-enabled drones. He named Russia the UK's biggest adversary, said foreign threats have quadrupled over the past decade, and revealed 50 arrests linked to Iran in the past year. MI5 has already made apprehensions related to the AI threat.
