Nikkei futures surge past 67,000, up over 3% in overnight trade

Nikkei 225 futures jumped more than 3% in overnight trading, breaking above 67,000 for the first time, with the large-contract future quoted around 66,900-67,100. The index had traded below 63,000 about a week earlier.
