NSE raises ₹6,746 crore from 189 anchor investors ahead of IPO, with LIC, GIC and Fidelity among buyers

NSE has raised ₹6,746 crore (about $703 million) through its anchor book ahead of the IPO, with 189 anchor investors including LIC, GIC and Fidelity among the buyers, according to desk reports. The figure is above the roughly ₹6,250 crore CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan had cited, which was itself down from about ₹9,000 crore, and sources had put the anchor book at about ₹6,745 crore with around 105 participating investors. Chauhan said institutional demand is strong and far exceeds the shares available. The issue opens September 17 at a ₹1,700-1,785 price band, with the grey-market premium on NSE shares down more than 45% ahead of the opening.
