Nvidia-backed Reflection AI has unveiled Beam, its first open-weight model — a 501B-parameter text-only mixture-of-experts model built for coding, reasoning and AI-agent workloads, aimed at competing with leading open-weight models from China. It says Beam rivals GLM-5.2 on reasoning with far less inference compute; weights are due this month.
