[This](https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/article/nvidia-is-looking-more-like-the-central-bank-of-ai-213156835.html) is exactly why Burry has good reason to short the stock: > Nvidia CFO Colette Kress said frontier AI labs have "extraordinary demand" for computing power but are "growing faster than what their balance sheets and credit profiles can support." >In plain English, some of Nvidia's fastest-growing customers want more AI infrastructure than their finances can comfortably support. >Nvidia is stepping into the gap. >And this is becoming a meaningful piece of Nvidia's business. Kress said AI labs where Nvidia expects to use its balance sheet could account for roughly a quarter of its business next year. But we will see who prevails in the end.

I think what Burry might be missing is that this is what actual too big to fail looks like. Do the financials make sense? No. Is there wide spread circular financing that companies are using to inflate their numbers to distract from the data center commitments that they'll surely fail to meet? 100%! But are all of the levers of power going to bend over backwards to keep the train on the tracks? Absolutely! C'mon, government rim lickers are talking about the state owning stakes in AI companies, meaning that selling your stock is essentially going to be treason. Burry is basically shorting crack in a crack den because he sees the owners of the crack den are also doing crack.
