Philippine regulators approve higher Meralco distribution rate of P1.48 per kWh

Regulators approved a new average distribution rate of P1.48 per kilowatt-hour for Meralco, up from the existing P1.35 per kWh, an increase of around 13 centavos per kilowatt-hour, meaning customers will soon face higher electricity bills.
