Philly Fed manufacturing index rises to +37.8 in September, above +32.1 estimate

The Philadelphia Fed's September Manufacturing Index came in at +37.8 versus +32.1 expected and 47.4 prior. Prices paid rose to +48.9 from +40.9, new orders eased to +29.2 from +30.1, shipments held at +27.7 and employment fell to +11.8 from +27.9.
