Protests sweeping France have blockaded 2,000 high schools, with police charging crowds with shields in Paris as protesters aimed fireworks at them. Demonstrators are demanding President Emmanuel Macron's government tackle understaffing and dilapidated buildings, after a fortnight of student protests that began in Paris's deprived suburbs. A student lost a hand in an earlier clash with police, Folha reported.
