RBI raises banks' daily minimum CRR maintenance to 99% from 90%, effective October 16
The Reserve Bank of India has tightened the daily cash reserve ratio (CRR) maintenance norm for banks, raising the daily minimum maintenance requirement to 99% from 90%, effective October 16. It also announced a ₹25,000 crore bond sale on October 13 to align overnight rates with the repo rate.
