Rhine largely unnavigable for standard barges as Kaub gauge hits record-low 4cm, Bloomberg reports

Water levels on the Rhine have dropped to the lowest on record, hindering transport on a critical route for coal, fuel and industrial commodities across central Europe. The Kaub gauge fell to 4cm, the lowest in records going back to 1880, after measuring 15cm on 21 September.
