The Financial Times reported, based on leaked documents, that Russia is covertly helping Iran develop supersonic cruise missiles under a multiyear programme called C430L, described as one of the most significant known transfers of military technology from Moscow to Tehran. The programme is intended to develop a new class of weapon capable of threatening US aircraft carriers and Middle East warships, with Russian engineers having visited the Tehran factory multiple times.
