Crew returns fire as skiff attempts to hijack tanker 75nm east of Aden, UKMTO says

A skiff pursued and attempted to hijack a westbound tanker 75 nautical miles east of Aden, Yemen. The crew returned fire, forcing the attackers to abort, the UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre said. The vessel was heading toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
