South Korea Chuseok holiday food basket costs rise 5.1% on heatwave-driven vegetable surge

The cost of the traditional Chuseok ancestral-rite food basket rose an average 5.1% year on year, with vegetable prices surging on the effects of a heatwave while fruit prices stabilised, South Korean media reported.
