Spain's AIReF raises 2026 public deficit forecast to 2.7% of GDP, citing war and warning of "negative" signals for the economy

Spain's Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) raised its forecast for the country's public deficit this year to 2.7% of GDP, six tenths above the government's own projection and a tenth higher than its previous estimate.
