State Department removes Syria from ITAR arms export denial list, effective Thursday

The U.S. State Department removed Syria from its ITAR arms export denial list in a notice published Wednesday, effective Thursday, as ties with the new Syrian government warm. Syrian requests to buy arms from U.S. companies will now be considered case-by-case.
