Tesla has begun producing its Optimus robot at the Fremont factory, with Elon Musk stating output will be extremely slow initially and the line ultimately designed for about 1 million robots per year. The production line previously built the Model S for 14 years before being repurposed for Optimus Gen 3 pilot production.
