Times Car data breach class action sign-ups top 10,000

More than 10,000 people have registered for a class action against Times Car's operator over a data breach affecting about 6.6 million accounts, with identity documents such as driver's licences leaked in roughly 1.6 million cases. The sign-up site, which warns of identity theft risks such as fraudulent account openings and card issuance, hit the figure by 13:00 on 2 October.
