Trump establishes committee of inquiry into Fed Gov. Lisa Cook; she denies allegations

President Trump established a Committee of Inquiry to investigate whether Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook made false statements on mortgage instruments, his latest effort to remove her from the central bank. Cook denies the allegations. The commission, reporting to Trump, will assess evidence at a closed-door White House hearing scheduled for Nov. 5.
