Turkey freezes assets of fund managers amid probe; dozens arrested, stocks lose $51bn

Turkey's Justice Minister Akın Gürlek said the assets of all managers targeted in a fund investigation have been frozen. The market regulator halted trading in all funds of seven managers and ordered 131 funds, worth 890bn lira (~$18.3bn) and holding 350,000 investors, into liquidation. Dozens of arrests have been made and the crisis has wiped $51bn off Turkish stocks.
