U.S. confirms IRGC projectile sank container ship GFS Pride while being towed to shore; dry bulk vessel CAPE DAO sinks in separate incident

The U.S. says the civilian container ship M/V GFS Pride was hit by an IRGC projectile and sank while being towed to shore near the Strait of Hormuz. The dry bulk vessel CAPE DAO, struck on September 23, also sank off the coast of Oman. Both were carrying goods for the UAE.
