U.S. sanctions crypto exchange BitBank, developer Pishtaz Simorgh and associates of financier Babak Zanjani

The U.S. Treasury sanctioned Iranian crypto exchange BitBank, its developer Pishtaz Simorgh Electronic Trade Company and three associates of financier Babak Zanjani over alleged sanctions evasion. The exchange is accused of processing Strait of Hormuz safe-passage payments and routing funds to the IRGC.
