UK FCA publishes final crypto guidance; existing registrations won't convert automatically

The UK Financial Conduct Authority published final guidance on which crypto activities need its authorisation, covering stablecoin issuance, trading, custody and staking. Applications open September 30, with full rules taking effect October 25, 2027. Existing registrations will not convert automatically, and banks may still block or limit transfers to crypto exchanges.
