UN food price index rises 1.5% in September to 136.0 points, FAO says

The FAO's food price index rose 1.5% month-on-month to 136.0 points in September, up 5.8% from a year earlier, driven by higher cereal and sugar prices. The index remains 15.1% below its peak.
