US 10-year Treasury yield falls after strong demand at $39 billion auction

The US 10-year Treasury yield fell from 5.365% to 5.271% after the government's $39 billion 10-year note sale, which priced at 5.300% with a bid-to-cover of 2.77, the best in over five years. Indirect bidders took 80.3% and dealers were left with just 2.5%, the lowest in five years, as strong demand let investors accept a lower yield.
