US begins withdrawing remaining forces from Iraqi Kurdistan, on track to end coalition mission Sept. 30

The US has begun pulling its remaining troops and military systems out of Iraqi Kurdistan, with hundreds redeploying mainly to Jordan, putting the coalition mission on track to end September 30. Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi has called the withdrawal deadline fixed and final.
