US, Denmark and Greenland to sign Arctic deal Tuesday putting Greenland security under NATO watch

Denmark, Greenland and the US are to sign a security deal on Greenland on Tuesday, an agreement Denmark says will put Arctic security under NATO's watch rather than leaving it solely to Washington and Copenhagen. The deal gives the US permanent basing and overflight rights, reopening a base in southern Greenland and establishing a presence at a second site in the east, and bars non-NATO bases.
