US initial jobless claims fall 10,000 to 196,000 in week ending Sept. 12

Seasonally adjusted initial claims for unemployment insurance fell by 10,000 to 196,000 in the week ending Sept. 12, the St. Louis Fed reported. The four-week moving average dropped by 2,750 to 203,250.
