US July Nonfarm Payrolls Fall 23K, Missing Estimates
The US July nonfarm payrolls report showed a decline of 23,000 jobs, significantly missing the consensus estimate of +80,000. The unemployment rate fell to 4.1% against a 4.2% estimate, and average hourly earnings rose less than expected. June's figures were also revised downward by 37,000.
