Viking Therapeutics launched its Phase 3 SUNRISE program for oral obesity drug VK2735, a dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist. SUNRISE-1 and SUNRISE-2 will each enroll about 560 patients with or without type 2 diabetes, evaluating daily dosing over 68 weeks.
