White House aide Cheung says US blockade has halted Iranian oil exports, calls operation a success

White House communications official Steven Cheung said the US blockade under "Operation Economic Outcast" has completely halted Iranian oil exports while oil continues to flow through the Strait of Hormuz, and that inflation is crippling Iran's economy. A desk report says Iran has lost about $40bn in annual oil revenue, earning only $18bn since the blockade began on 14 April, against $49bn-$60bn a year pre-war.
