Xi's White House state visit ends; trade truce extended to January, US and China agree waterway fees impermissible

Chinese President Xi Jinping's three-day U.S. state visit ended with ceremony but little concrete progress, Al Jazeera reported. The U.S.-China trade truce, due to expire in November, has been extended to January. Xi and President Trump also agreed that fees on international waterways are not permissible, and Xi said China will invite 100,000 young Americans to study there over five years and send two giant pandas to Zoo Atlanta.
