Yen plunges overnight as hawkish Fed rate signal lifts dollar index above 100, Chinese outlet reports

The yen fell sharply overnight and the dollar index rose for a sixth straight session above the 100 level after the Federal Reserve signalled further rate hikes this year, Chinese financial outlet CNFol reports. The outlet warns the yen could approach 160 per dollar if the Bank of Japan does not take a hawkish tone.
